We welcome Dr Shasti Smith back to the CompCare Specialist Centre who has returned from the UK after completing 6 months of fellowship on peri-operative medicine. 

We welcome Dr Gui Say to the CompCare Specialist Centre team as an associate.

Dr Say is a General Medicine specialist at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network and is a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 2021. He is also a member of the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (IMSANZ).

COVID 19 INFORMATION

If you have recently contracted COVID-19 or are close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 please do not attend your appointment. Alternatively, please contact us on 08 7077 2199 to change your appointment to a Telehealth consultation.

We are offering Telehealth service for patients who have been impacted by COVID-19. Our consultants will call you to discuss your condition, at the same time as your previously arranged appointment time. We do ask that you ensure your referral is current to utilise this service.

ABOUT COMPCARE SPECIALIST CENTRE

The Care You Deserve

CompCare Specialist Centre is a newly established practice based at the new Calvary Adelaide Hospital providing comprehensive and ongoing long-term ambulatory and inpatient care for patients.
Our practice is headed by two directors, Dr Boon Loong Tan and Dr Vanessa Tee. The directors of our practice value good communication and are committed to building long-term good rapport with patients, peers and staff alike in line with the company’s motto ‘Caring For Life’.

DR BOON TAN - BA MB BCH BAO, MRCPI, FRACP

Geriatrician, Internal Medicine and Stroke Physician

Dr Boon Tan is a Consultant Geriatrician, Internal Medicine and Stroke Physician obtained his bachelor of arts and medical degree in Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. Dr Tan's special interest include Memory disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, Falls, Stroke, Rehabilitation, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment. He provides consultation and admission services at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Ashford Hospital, St Andrew's Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, North Eastern Community Hospital and Memorial Hospital.

DR VANESSA TEE - MBBS, FRACP

Respiratory and Sleep Medicine

Dr Vanessa Tee is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She completed her Respiratory training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital followed by a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. 


Dr Tee is multi-lingual and can consult in English, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese. Her special interest include Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Lung cancer, Airway disease, Sleep apnoea, Respiratory failure, Insomnia. She has visiting rights to Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Ashford Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, St Andrew's Hospital and Memorial Hospital.

DR SHASTI SMITH - MBBS, FRACP

Geriatrician and Internal Medicine Physician

Dr Shasti Smith completed his undergraduate training in Monash University in 2009 and moved to Adelaide for his postgraduate training. He has undertaken advanced training in Geriatric Medicine and General Medicine in hospitals around South Australia since then. He currently practices in these disciplines in public and private settings. As a Geriatrician, he believes that ongoing longitudinal care is imperative to better health outcomes. His clinical interests include that of complex patients, acute care of the older persons, cognitive disorders (dementia/memory Disorders) and movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, he provides Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments for patients living in a variety of settings.

Dr Say is a General Medicine specialist at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. Dr Say is a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 2021.  He is also a member of the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (IMSANZ) and has completed the Perioperative Medicine Course (Monash University). He is also a current member of the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zeland and regularly attends the Obstetric Medicine Physicians journal club.


Apart from his interest in managing hospitalised patients with complex medical problems, his special interests include Perioperative Medicine, Palliative Care, management of cardiovascular risk factors and undifferentiated medical complaints.



Apart from English, Dr Say speaks Malay as a second language.
